Care for others in Humble Simplicity
Today, 19 March, feast day of St. Joseph, marks with the inaugural Mass of our new Pope Francis. From Saints (St. Francis of Assisi (or incl. St. Francis of Xavier)) to Religious Orders (Friars Minor, or Jesuit (Matteo Ricci, missionary to China in 16th Century)), the new Pope brings us, and reinforces us, a new hope in "unity & integration".
Also, today, is the development day of our community featured by "communion & harmony". Thanks to our spiritual direction who dedicates his life, 42 years of priesthood, in integrating faith into local culture. A challenging tasks forever. However, his mission inspires us, at least to me, in this holiday (holy-day). Still, not everyone of us would be pleased in today's arrangement. Could we see the holy part of this very special day (St. Joseph Feast Day, Inaugural Mass of New Pope, Staff Development Day)? It marks the new beginning of a community (Church) life that unite people to centre around God.
To live a loving life that care for the others with a humble heart. To live a simple life that can bring peace and joy to the world. A Christ-like community, without boundaries, on Earth is awaiting all of us to build. A broken Church, a fragile life, an imbalance society, all are waiting us to rebuild, like St. Francis of Assisi.
Care for others, to love, wholeheartedly seems to be the only answer.
But "how to love" in whatever situations everyone may face is a lifelong challenge.
God, please be my shelter, and give me the guidance and wisdom to love, from within I, to extend it to the members of our community, to further reach out to the world outside, as witness to other to share the Jesus' Love & Grace.
Grateful for this holy day, communion in community.
God bless us all!
